Built with AI and machine learning

The score and placement forecasts on ForeScorps are produced using artificial intelligence, machine-learning and statistical models – combined and calibrated differently across classes and over time, using whichever models and calibration the evidence supports at a given point in the season (see the Methodology page for the version in effect) – trained on historical Drum Corps International and Drum Corps Associates results. Because these are probabilistic models, projections are inherently uncertain and may be inaccurate.

Scores and data

Official contest scores shown here are the exact values published by Drum Corps International (dci.org) and Drum Corps Associates (dcacorps.org). ForeScorps does not modify official scores. Forecasts and projected standings are independent estimates generated by ForeScorps.

Privacy and cookies

ForeScorps does not require accounts and never asks for your name or contact details. Cookies are grouped into two categories, managed via the Cookie Settings link in the footer: Essential (only the cookie-consent choice itself, stored in your browser) and Analytical (Google Analytics). If – and only if – you consent to Analytical cookies, Google Analytics collects device and usage data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) in aggregate form to help us understand general site usage. No analytics run before you consent, no advertising or profiling cookies are used, and no data is sold or shared.

The site also loads assets from third-party services: Google Fonts (typography), CARTO (map tiles on the Contest Map), unpkg and jsDelivr (open-source libraries Leaflet and Chart.js), and b-sharp.ai (the B-Sharp AI logo). When these assets load, those services receive standard web-request data such as your IP address.
